Our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.angelsrest.com\/Gatehouse_Cabin.php\">cabin<\/a> was right on the beach (I highly recommend <a href=\"http:\/\/www.angelsrest.com\/\">Angel&#8217;s Rest<\/a> cabins) and we were able to watch sea otters, sea lions, whales and countless sea birds right out the front windows.<\/p>\n<p>We took a short 1\/2 day whale watching cruise, (the whole day cruises don&#8217;t start up until tourist season actually begins) and even though we saw more wildlife from the cabin than we did on the boat, it felt good just to be out on the water.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/evardsson\/470608076\/\" class=\"tt-flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/204\/470608076_4cd3efaff6_t.jpg\" alt=\"Cabin-from-the-water.jpg\" border=\"0\" height=\"75\" width=\"100\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/evardsson\/470608408\/\" class=\"tt-flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/212\/470608408_4dd2803d44_t.jpg\" alt=\"View-from-cabin-window-2.jpg\" border=\"0\" height=\"75\" width=\"100\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/evardsson\/470608326\/\" class=\"tt-flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/232\/470608326_a82ba650e9_t.jpg\" alt=\"View-from-cabin-window-1.jpg\" border=\"0\" height=\"75\" width=\"100\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We just got back from a few days in Seward, and it felt great to get out of town and spend some time on the beach.
