{"id":226,"date":"2008-04-27T14:09:48","date_gmt":"2008-04-27T22:09:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.evardsson.com\/blog\/?p=226"},"modified":"2008-05-04T19:34:57","modified_gmt":"2008-05-05T03:34:57","slug":"iphone-icons-for-your-site","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.evardsson.com\/blog\/2008\/04\/27\/iphone-icons-for-your-site\/","title":{"rendered":"iPhone icons for your site"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Adding a shortcut to a favorite site on an iPhone (or iPod Touch) is as easy as tapping the &#8220;+&#8221; sign at the bottom of the Safari browser on the phone and selecting &#8220;Add to Homepage&#8221; &#8211; but the icon is not so appealing. In fact, the iPhone defaults to a tiny, cropped screenshot of the site unless it finds a 57&#215;57 pixel png file in the site root. This is similar to the concept of the favicon.ico for web browsers.
