{"id":440,"date":"2011-03-19T12:55:51","date_gmt":"2011-03-19T19:55:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.evardsson.com\/blog\/?p=440"},"modified":"2011-03-19T12:55:51","modified_gmt":"2011-03-19T19:55:51","slug":"wordpress-support-fail-wp-stats-and-jetpack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.evardsson.com\/blog\/2011\/03\/19\/wordpress-support-fail-wp-stats-and-jetpack\/","title":{"rendered":"WordPress support fail: WP-Stats and JetPack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/your-wordpresscom-account-is-not-authorized-to-view-the-stats-of-this-blog\">Apparently<\/a> I am not the only person running in to the message &#8220;Your WordPress.com account, [account name] is not authorized to view the stats of this blog&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>There is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.interactivewebs.com\/blog\/index.php\/general-tips\/your-wordpress-com-account-is-not-authorized-to-view-the-stats-of-this-blog\/\">work-around<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/techgoggles.in\/index.php\/fixed-your-wordpress-com-account-is-not-authorized-to-view-the-stats-of-this-blog\/\">posted<\/a> at a couple places, but this did not work for me.<\/p>\n<p>There seems to be no official word from WP yet, at least not that I can find. There are a lot of recommendations to &#8220;just remove WP-Stats and install JetPack&#8221; &#8211; however, that does not seem to work for me either. Instead I get &#8220;You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If WP had planned to replace WP-Stats with JetPack, shouldn&#8217;t they have let everyone know? And if they had planned to modify WP-Stats, shouldn&#8217;t they have first tested those changes to make sure it didn&#8217;t break existing installations? And if they are having unexpected issues shouldn&#8217;t they be A) working diligently to correct them and B) assigning someone to respond in the support forums?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apparently I am not the only person running in to the message &#8220;Your WordPress.com account, [account name] is not authorized to view the stats of this blog&#8221;.
